PURPOSE:To reduce the stock of a label roll and to simplify publication, in a label printer reading printing data from an image, by synthesizing the printing data formed on the basis of a character code and image data by a pattern forming means and performing printing based on the synthesized printing pattern. CONSTITUTION:When commodity data is inputted to a microcomputer 1 from a key operation part 3, the pattern forming means 14 of a CPU 10 converts the commodity data designated on the basis of a commodity data memory means 11 and a program memory means 12 to a pattern to store the pattern in a first pattern memory means 13. A pattern to be printed is read by an image scanner 2 to be stored in second pattern memory means 23. A logical operation means 15 reads the printing patterns P1, P2 of both memory means 13,23 to synthesize them and output the synthesized printing pattern (p) to a head control part 35 to print the same by a printing head 36. |
