A headset (1) for wireless telecommunication comprising a speaker (2), a microphone (3), a short-range transceiver (4) for establishing a short-range wireless link (5) to a peripheral electronic device (6) comprising a corresponding short-range transceiver (7) and a user interface (8). The headset (1) also comprises a long-range transceiver (9) for establishing a long-range wireless link (10) to a Base Transceiver Station (11), whereby the headset (1) is able to make telephone calls. The headset (1) is adapted to receive instructions from the peripheral electronic device (6) via the short-range transceiver (4) to initiate cellular telephone calls. |
