The equipment has a fixed main chassis (3) which carries the slideway (2) for the bottles. An actuator is attached to the chassis, and its push rod (5) moves with a reciprocating motion parallel to the slideway. A drive frame (9) also moves parallel to the slideway and is connected to the tie rod. Hinged guide plates (18) are pivoted about an axis affixed to the drive frame orientated perpendicular to the slideway. The guide plates can rotate between a first driving position when they are in contact with the bottles, and a second retreat position in which they are withdrawn. A control system cycles the cylinder and push rod through four separate phases. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for moving bottles between various work stations. Allows automatic handling of semi-finished products.
