IMPROVING ADHESION OF TIRE RUBBER TO STEEL CORD

The improving method a is characterized by adding a compound supported with 0.5-30 wt.% of a carbon black (or silica) as a reinforcing material and/or a nickel and cobalt salt to the blend rubber. The steel cord is pref. coated with copper and nickel. The method effectively inhibits a sulfur migration into the adhesion boundary surface, and improves durability.
