The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of a composite yarn made of glass and organic material. According to the invention, continuous filaments of thermoplastic organic material are mingled, in the form of a ribbon, with a bundle or ribbon of glass filaments, with a speed (rate) of the thermoplastic filaments, during their penetration into the bundle or ribbon of glass filaments, greater than the rate of stretching (drawing) of the glass filaments.
