The clock includes a housing in which is arranged a clock mechanism with a numeral plate and pointer. The housing surface is curved in the region of its base (2) and its centre of gravity is of a very low value such that it automatically returns to its normal position when displaced from it. At least one battery (3) with a horizontal longitudinal axis is arranged in the region of the curved base surface. The housing is somewhat elliptical in side view and narrower in the region opposite the base. The housing can contain a roller body (8) which makes a circuit in the normal position and breaks it when the clock is tilted. USE/ADVANTAGE - Reliably returns to normal position when tilted. Tilting can be used to operate snooze mechanism.
