Contrast chamber for highlighting bacterial colonies. It is characterized by incorporating a reflection tube 2, inside which is placed the plate 5, covered by an opaque layer 3, and a lamp 1 which is positioned above the opaque layer 3, in order to illuminate the plate on all sides, highlighting the bacterial colonies against the dark background of the opaque plate 3, allowing a visual or automatic count of the bacterial colonies, by means of an automatic processor connected to a reading head. <IMAGE>
