The compressor has a fixed block (22) with a passage formed by a spiral wall (23) and a moving block with a similar spiral passage engaging with the first, to form a compression chamber (39). The moving block is driven eccentrically by a peg (34) from a shaft (33). The block has a bush (36) with radial slot in which the peg slides and which has an off-centre axis. The peg is cylindrical with two flat chamfers on opposite sides, parallel to a radial line from the shaft centre to the peg. ADVANTAGE - It is inexpensive for mass production.
