The fixing device which connects the drive and driven sides of the clutch together in an emergency is formed by a coupling rod (5) which is connected at the ends to the drive member (2) and driven member (3) by a joint (15,16). A compensating weight (10) or a second coupling rod is mounted diametrically opposite the coupling rod. The connecting joints are formed by ball joint sockets (15,16) in eyes (6,8) at the ends of the coupling rod and as articulated pins (8,13) fixed rigidly on the drive and driven members and engaging in bores of the sockets.
