A method of desulfurization of town gas is disclosed. The method of desulfurization of town gas of the invention is a method for desulfurizing town gas not containing hydrogen gas chracterized in that the desulfurization is carried out by adding hydrogen to the town gas, and by using copper-zinc desulfurizing agnet prepared by co-precipitation method. According to the invention, town gas desulfurized at high degree can be obtained stably for a long period of time.
