<p>PURPOSE:To provide a speed data compression and recording method improving compression efficiency by making the prospective range proper by determining the end point to a proper point according to the condition of the vehicle speed at the next sampling point of time. CONSTITUTION:When line segment VGHn-VGLn connecting an arithmetic upper limit value VGHn and an arithmetic lower limit value VGLn does not cross with line segment VNHn-VNLn connecting an estimated upper limit value VNHn and an estimated lower limit value VNLn, a processing is terminated and the number of sampling so far is stored as the length of straight line in a memory. When the vehicle speed Vn-1 of the final sampling is present outside an upper limit value straight line LH and a lower limit value straight line LL, the point on the upper limit value straight line LH or the lower limit value straight line LL at the final point of time is stored as end point data in a memory. When vehicle speed Vn-1 is present between the upper limit value straight line LH and the lower limit value straight line LL, the speed Vn-1 is stored as end point data in the memory.</p> |
