PURPOSE:To enable mechanical fine adjustment and ensure that ink stain does not affect charging characteristics by providing a charging electrode of an ink jet recorder with an adjusting member which moves a coil spring. CONSTITUTION:One end of a coil spring 8 is fixed in one of grooved holes 123-125 of a base frame 2b having holes 113-115 into which ink jet heads 15 are inserted, and the other end of the spring 8 is fixed in a grooved hole 16 of a worm wheel 9 having a hole 15 through which ink particles pass. A worm 10 and a worm wheel 9 are engaged with each other, with the shaft of the worm 10 fitted in one of semicircular shaft holes 134-135 of the base frame 2b. The frame 2b is fixed to a base frame 2c, with the sleeve 17 of the worm wheel 9 passed through one of ink particle passing holes 74-75 of the base frame 2c having a semicircular shaft hole 145. By this, with the shaft of the worm 10 rotated by means of a screw driver, the worm wheel 9 rotates to change the pitch of the spring 8. |
