PURPOSE:To provide the card type gate device which can restart the next card reception by automatically recovering a left card speedily from a card conveying path even when a visitor missed to pickup the own card carried out at a card take-out port. CONSTITUTION:This device provided with a shutter 9 of a card inserting port 5, card reader/writer 11 and card conveying mechanism 12 along the card conveying path between the card inserting port 5 and a card take-out port 6 at a main body 1 of a gate, is equipped with a card recovering box 14, card recovering passage 16 and select mechanism 17 as card recovering means for taking in a card 8 inside the main body 1 of the gate while being branched on the way of the card conveying path and when the card 8 conveyed at the card take-out port 6 is left, the card 8 is temporarily returned from the card take-out port 6 to the internal card conveying path and taken into the card recovering box 14 so that the next card acceptance can be restarted by opening the shutter 9 of the card inserting port 5. |
