A reinforced vegetation layer which is applied by means of hydropneumatics, for example to an inclined surface supported by a cemented static network. The layer of vegetation has, in particular, as mixture of components, an organic substance based on composite soil (top soil), artificial microfibres of varying lengths, organic vegetable fibres, dried marine plants, spheres of expanded clay as structuring agent and also nutrients of organic origin. The layer of vegetation is characterized by a high level of cohesion, optimum shape stability, a high level of resistance to various types of erosion, a high ion- exchange capability and also a prolonged-effect balanced nutrient content, being applicable to the covering of embankments. <IMAGE>
