PURPOSE:To prevent damages to an LED array during cutting and also damages during transport by collet, to make the recognition of end position of an LED array easier, and to prevent electrostatic failure of the LED array. CONSTITUTION:An exposed portion 16 of a substrate having, no diffusion mask layer 6 is disposed along an end portion of a short side direction of an LED array 2, a predetermined gap is placed from the end portion, and a guide electrode 14 is provided in such a manner that the exposed portion 16 of substrate and the diffusion mask layer 6 will be covered. The guide electrode 14 is formed along the end portion of short side direction of the LED array 2. Moving direction of a diamond cutter during array cutting is restricted by the guide electrode 14, thereby enhancing the cutting accuracy and, at the same time, reinforcing the substrate 4 and diffusion mask layer 6. The guide electrode 14 becomes an end recognizing mark of the array 2 and also an electrostatic shield. |
