PURPOSE:To obtain an etched fabric, having increased gloss and transparency in etched parts, richer in designability and having extended uses such as clothes, sports and interiors by subjecting a combined and mixed woven fabric of cellulosic fiber with synthetic fiber to the etching processing and partially dissolving the cellulosic fiber. CONSTITUTION:This etched fabric having an uneven pattern is obtained by using conjugate fiber of cellulosic and synthetic fiber containing dull or semi-dull synthetic fiber yarn of no twist to 400 turns/m number of twist as warp yarn and 20-70% cellulosic fiber as weft yarn, providing a woven fabric having >=1.5 ratio of floating warp yarn/floating weft yarn in a complete weave and partially dissolving the cellulosic fiber. Color effects are obtained from mild gloss of filament yarn and transparent effects by dyeing or printing. Furthermore, the woven fabric has appearance of the woven fabric having transparent effects such as lamination of a transparent film on the woven fabric surface having unevennesses developed by warp yarn conditions and weaving design. A moire tone unique to the conjugate yarn causes no trouble deteriorating the grade of the front fabric due to a weave in which the weft yarn is back yarn. |
