<p>The process is for positioning relatively a robot and a part in a given operation wherein the part is fixed on a movable support along the length of a conveyor. The position of the part (3) is determined with respect to the support (6) and the position of the support (6) on the conveyor (5) is also determined. The results of the two stages are deducted preceding the position of the part (3) with respect to the robot.
