EXHAUST RECIRCULATING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide an exhaust recirculating device without impairing the compactness of a turbocharger. CONSTITUTION:An engine 5 is equipped with a turbocharger 1 composed by integrating a turbine 2 and a compressor 4 in a bearing wheel chamber 3. An annular chamber 21 is provided in a diffuser forming wall 19 of a compressor 3. The chamber 21 and a diffuser 17 are communicated by a slit 20. The inlet part of a circulating passage 22 is connected to the gas flow passage 16 of the turbine 2. The outlet part of a circulating passage 22 is connected to the chamber 21. The intermediate part of the circulating passage 22 is crossed or adjoined to a cooling water passage 24 in the gear wheel chamber 3 to be located.
