PURPOSE:To efficiently eliminate a harmful matter such as ozone and NOx around a photosensitive drum in an image forming device utilizing an electrophotographic process such as a copying machine and a printer. CONSTITUTION:At the developing device part of the image forming device utilizing the electrophotographic process, the proper amount of the absorbent 13 for the ozone, etc., suitable to the toner 12 is mixed with developer and the absorbent 13 is directly brought into contact with the photosensitive drum 1 together with the toner 12. Thus, the ozone attached on the surface of the drum 1 can be efficiently eliminated. As a result, the deterioration of the drum 1 caused by the ozone can be drastically reduced and the life of the drum 1 can be prolonged. |
