<p>PURPOSE:To continue adsorption performance of ammonia and aldehyde for a long period and to improve durability of a deodorizing filter by providing a reaction type prefilter made of moisture absorption sheet or synthetic sheet at an upstream side of the filter in an air flowing direction. CONSTITUTION:An air cleaner comprises a reaction type prefilter 2 made of sheet or synthetic sheet, an electric dust collection element 3 having a honeycomb structure, a deodorizing filter 4, and a pair of sirrocco fans for generating an air flow F from an inlet 1a to an outlet 1b sequentially disposed from the inlet 1a side in a casing 1 having the inlet 1a and the outlet 1b. Thus, the prefilter 2 absorbs moisture in the air, and aldehydes and amonia dissolved in the moisture or carboxylic acid and the amonia are reacted to form solid salt having a small particle state. Thus, quantities of the ammonia and the aldehydes reaching the filter 4 side can be suppressed, and durability of the filter can be improved.</p> |
