<p>PURPOSE: To provide a linear motion solenoid-operated poppet valve allowing precise setting of the valve stroke according to the selected demand amount of the rate of air flow by equipping the valve with an adjustable seat, which gives a selective variable flow orifice to supply a preset air flow amount requirement. CONSTITUTION: A valve retainer 20 is fitted in a stepped, axially directed hole penetrating a valve body 11, and the outer end 44 of a poppet valve spool 43 is inserted into an axially directed hole 28 in the valve retainer 20. The spool 43 is formed conically and has a ring-shaped flange 50, fitted with a pair of angular poppet valve faces 51 and 52 made of elastomeric material in the center. The poppet valve face 51 can be seated on a seat 24 at the inner end of a diametrically shrunk hole portion 22 of the stepped, axially directed hole in the valve body 11. A magnetic pole piece 54 of a solenoid 12 is installed directly on the end face 55 of the valve body 11, and a valve push pin 57 is inserted through an axially directed hole 56 in the magnetic pole piece 54 for transmitting the displacement of a solenoid armature 62 to the spool 43.</p> |
