PURPOSE:To intermittently form a toner image on a paper and to make the scale of a memory for storing picture data small. CONSTITUTION:By a CPU, the transferring action of the toner image on the paper P is intermittently executed by the amount corresponding to one reciprocating movement area of a heating roller 24 synchronously with an action that the paper P is intermittently transferred by the amount corresponding to one reciprocating movement area of the roller 24. Besides, a heating device 23 is moved back and forth once in the width direction of the paper P every time that the transferring action is executed by the amount corresponding to the area and the toner image on the paper P is intermittently fixed by each area by the CPU. Then, while the transferring action is interrupted, a sleeve 10 is held to be rotated and potential is also continuously given to the sleeve 10 by the CPU. Therefore, the outer circumferential surface of a photosensitive drum 2 whose rotation is stopped is rubbed by toner T on the sleeve 10 and the electrostatically charged state of the part of a photoconductive layer 5 faced to the sleeve 10 is held. |
