<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a lubricant showing excellent lubricating effect without using a fluorocarbon, providing a magnetic recording medium having excellent traveling durability by blending an ester of an end OH-containing perfluoroether and a long-chain carboxylic acid with a long-chain alkylamine. CONSTITUTION:(A) A compound of the formula (R<f1> is perfluoroethyl group; R<1> is long-chain hydrocarbon) which is an ester compound between an end OH-containing perfluoropolyether (preferably one having 600-5,000 molecular weight) and a long-chain carboxylic acid is blended with (B) a long-chain alkylamine of the formula RNH2 (R is long-chain hydrocarbon) in the molecular ratio of preferably 0.01-100 component B based on the component A to give the objective lubricant. The ester compound of the formula, for example, is obtained by dripping a long-chain carboxylic acid chloride to a mixed solution of the end OH-containing perfluoropolyether and the tertiary amine and heating under reflux after completion of the dripping.</p> |
