A dental treatment aid consists of an articulated arm (11) in several parts whose rear end (12) is stationarily held and whose front end (14) has at least one opening (15) for the coupling part of a rubber-elastic suction fitting (16) and can be positioned in space according to the needs. The suction fitting (16) has a light head (32) linked by an optical waveguide (31) to a light source (28). The articulated arm (11) has a motor drive with positioning members for adjusting each joint (18, 20, 22). All positioning members are linked to a central controlling device. The controlling device has a preferably programmable memory and can be optically or acoustically, for example verbally, controlled. A suction device (26) and a UV lamp may also be actuated by verbal commands. The suction device at the front end of the articulated arm is rubber-elastic and is provided with a tongue depressor designed as an impression tray wall. |
