The current rail (5) of the clip is brought through the wall (4) of the equipment into contact with a spring loop (10) against which the actuator (14) rests. The loop is flattened by rotation of the actuator about a pivot axis (12) when the tip (16) of a screwdriver or similar tool is used to apply pressure through the sloping face (8) of the flat-topped cover (15) of the insulating housing. A stop (17) on the latter limits the deg. of rotation. ADVANTAGE - Very compact structure enhances actuation with improved wiring, and guarantees error-free insertion of clip even where pacing and wiring densities are high, as in switch cabinets and rear of control panels.
