COMBINED ANALGESIC DELIVERY METHODS FOR PAIN MANAGEMENT

Methods of providing pain relief are described. The methods comprise the administration of an analgesic compound at a level sufficient to provide relief of continuous base-line pain. A second administration of analgesic to provide a periodic and temporary increase in level of analgesic sufficient to treat incident pain is also described. Methods of delivery of the analgesic compounds include the use of transdermal, iontophoretic, and nasal drug delivery vehicles.
