<p>A two-handed ice fishing rod for use when fishing over ice or in running water from a boat or other suitable location. The handle (17) of the rod which has been located at the center of gravity of the apparatus has been shaped so that when moving it from the fishing position towards the opposite hand the line (1) may be reeled in by means of the handle (3) on the line reel (2). The hook shape of the handle (17) allows the rod to be inserted into a pocket, a boot or similar location during pauses or for any other purpose. The rod may be used without modifications by either right-handed or left-handed persons. The lever (16) actuating the release of the brake latch of the line reel may be pressed by the thumb of the hand from the handle (17) without need to alter the grip on the rod.</p> |
