摘要 The system detects the horizontal error between the centre line of the scanning radar and the travel direction of the vehicle when moving straight ahead, by comparing a stored reference point location corresponding to a zero horizontal error and the location of a defined point obtained from detected obstacle data. Pref., the reference point is defined by a reflector mounted on the kerb edge, its location defined by the measured distance from the vehicle vertical axis. USE - For calibrating radar to compensate mounting error, difference between right and left wheels or error resulting from uneven weighting of vehicle.
