Two-channels broadcasting signals are recorded at the same time and the broadcasting signals recorded may be regenerated selectively. The video cassette recorder includes a first signal input stage for turning a first signal and for detecting video and audio signal, a second signal input stage for turning a second signal and for detecting audio and video signal, a video signal processor for inputting video signal detected by the signal input stages alternatively by field units and for processing the video signal to record on a tape, an audio signal processor for processing audio signal of each channel to record on a tape, and a recording stage for recording audio and video signal on corresponding tracks.
