The system uses some parts of a reproducing (21) and a recording (22) signal processing circuits in common to simplify the circuit. The outputs of a reproducing/recording pre-amplifiers (31,32) are connected to a switch (SW13) having a terminals (X0,X1) for receiving the reproducing/recording signals from a first deck (11), a control terminal (C), and an output terminal (Y) providing the selective signal from the received two signals with the control signal. The circuits (21,22) are connected to the terminal (Y) to process the reproducing/recording signals from/to the double deck.
