PURPOSE:To ensure that a complicated shape can be obtained by working with a high dimentional accuracy by pressing a preliminarily foamed particles which are obtained by preliminarily foaming styrene resin particles to a specified foaming multiple, then pressing the particles in a pressure container using an inorganic gas and thermally fusing the pressed preliminarily foamed particles after compression of their volume. CONSTITUTION:A preliminarily foamed particles are obtained by preliminarily foaming styrene resin particles to a preliminary foaming multiple, for example, which is optimal in comformity with the use purpose of a foam styrene resin molded product. The preliminarily foamed particles are filled in a pressure container and then are pressed using an inorganic gas. The preliminarily foamed particles, pressed by the inorganic gas, are compressed until the volume is equal to 9/10 to 3/10 of the volume before pressing. Next, the compressed preliminarily foamed particles are filled in a die for foam molding, then heated, for example using vapor, to a level above the softening point of styrene resin, and the preliminarily foamed particles are fused together. Consequently, the particles can be wrought to a complicated shape with an uneven profile, and besides, their physical property becomes uniform in every direction. |
