<p>PURPOSE:To provide a heat pump air-conditioning system where engine exhaust heat is used to dehumidify and ventilate air in a room during air-conditioning for improving the quality. CONSTITUTION:In an air-conditioning system where an engine 11 for driving a refrigerant compressor is installed on the outdoor unit 10 side and cool air and hot air are discharged into the room from an indoor unit 20 connected to the outdoor unit 10 by a refrigerant circuit, moisture contained in fresh air introduced into the room is adsorbed by an adsorbent and simultaneously a dehumidifying unit 30 for introducing exhaust heat of an engine 11 to dry the adsorbent is installed indoors. And the dehumidifying unit 30 is provided with an exhaust pass 33 for discharging indoor air outdoors and an introducing pass 34 for introducing fresh air indoors. The adsorbent is moved by the turning of a dehumidifying rotor 50 to make it alternatively face the introducing pass 34 and the exhaust pass 33. A heating coil 40 arranged in an exhaust pass 38 is connected to a cooling water pipe of the engine 11 so that exhaust heat may be introduced and heats the discharged indoor air to bring it into contact with the adsorbent in the dehumidifying rotor 50 to dry it.</p> |
