PURPOSE:To obtain the subject thermal insulating material having homogeneously dispersed fine cells, secured in product quality, and contributed to addressing environmental problems involving ozone layer destruction by agitating a mixture of an organic polyisocyanate, polyol component, foam stabilizer, foaming agent, etc., to effect expansion. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of (A) an organic polyisocyanate, (B) a polyol component containing 5-25 (pref. 5-30)wt.% of a polyether polyol 500-1000mKOH/g in OH value, prepared by addition polymerization between a diol or triol and ethylene oxide or propylene oxide, (C) a foam stabilizer, (D) a catalyst, (E) a foaming agent consisting of a hydrochlorofluorocarbon with a boiling point of -50 to 0 deg.C, and (F) 0.1-5 pts.wt., based on 100 pts.wt. of the component B, of a 4-7C perfluoroalkane, is agitated to effect expansion to afford the objective thermal insulating material. |
