Needle guard consists of cap (4) which fits over needle (2) and engages with its holder (5). It contains a locking mechanism (3) which prevents needle from being withdrawn from the cap once it has been used. The cap can be triangular, square, round, oval or rectangular in cross-section, and it can be adapted to suit all types of needle, fitting onto the end of a syringe. USE - Suitable for all types of needles, hollow and solid, used for giving injections or taking samples in humans or veterinary medicine.
