<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a support member itself from being charged up by curving the member to a projected form via the application of simple constitution, where the member is kept in contact with a linear cathode for the support thereof against a vibration. CONSTITUTION:The numeral '1' denotes a linear cathode, '2' a support member and further '3' denotes a rear vessel as a rear electrode substrate in common. In order to prevent the vibration of the cathode 1 as a cause for disturbance on displayed image, the member 2 is made to contact and support the cathode 1. In this case, the member 2 is formed directly on the rear vessel, and can be deformed to a projected type under the deformation of the vessel itself due to atmospheric pressure, For constituting the member 2, a material having such electrical conductivity as not causing a problem in driving the cathode 1 may be used. Or, an insulation material may be used at a section in contact with the rear electrode, with a conductive material at other sections including a section in contact with the cathode 1. Consequently, the accumulation of electrical charge (charge-up) on the member 2 can be eliminated.</p> |
