<p>PURPOSE:To enable a user to easily input both closed and open curves while discriminating clearly both curves from each other, therefore improving the recognizing efficiency of the subsequent characters through a coordinate input device by deciding the starting point of the input coordinates based on the ON/OFF information on an input pen received from an input device. CONSTITUTION:The input of the punctual coordinates is carried out at a punctual coordinate input part 41, and the ON/OFF information on an input pen is sent to a starting point deciding part 43 and an ending point deciding part 45. Meanwhile the input X and Y coordinate data are sent to a punctual coordinates storage part 44 consisting of the X and Y coordinate data storage parts. The part 43 decides the starting point of a linear graphic where the input pen is supplied when this pen is switched to an ON state from an OFF state. Otherwise no starting point is decided. These deciding results are sent to a coordinate input area 13a. Thus the starting point is decided for the input coordinate data. Then this starting point is magnified and displayed. Thus, the easy and clear input is attained for a closed curve that connects the starting and ending points together.</p> |
