MICROBIAL TREATMENT DEVICE FOR WASTE GAS

PURPOSE:To provide a novel microbial waste gas treatment device which enables effective removal of methane in waste gas generated from a waste water treatment equipment. CONSTITUTION:In a microbial waste gas treatment device wherein an absorption layer 2 wherein micro-organisms 11 are propagated is formed in a reator 1 and waste gas and water are caused to flow through the layer 2 to reform methane gas in the waste gas into carbon dioxide by means of the micro-organism 11, the layer 2 is formed from porous material 10 including small voids less than 1mm in diameter. And a water tank 5 is formed at the bottom of the reactor 1 to store water 12 and a circulation means 6 is provided to circulate the water 12 in the tank 5 to a point above the layer 2, thereby spraying the water on the layer.
