PURPOSE:To facilitate adjustment at picture quality by operating in conjunction with each other an adjustment means for adjusting the contrast of an output image obtained on the basis of echo signals and a gain adjustment means concerning received-signal processing means. CONSTITUTION:This ultrasonic diagnostic system has an ultrasonic endoscope 21 connected to an ultrasonic measuring instrument 22, which includes a received signal processing circuit 3 to which echo signals received at an ultrasonic vibrating array 25 are inputted via a receiving amplifier 28 and a phase matching circuit 29. After various signal processing is carried out by the circuit 30, an ultrasonic tomogram of a portion to be examined is displayed in a display unit 31. In this case, a control circuit 32 is provided comprising a contrast control portion 34 for adjusting the contrast of the output image and a gain control portion 33 for controlling gain adjustment performed by the received signal processing circuit 30, and gain adjustment is carried out in response to commands concerning contrast adjustment performed by the input device 35. |
