PURPOSE:To accurately detect a state of selection misses in a paper handling device in an electrophotographic unit equipped with plural these devices by comparing selection information with detection information, and installing such a means as judging whether a selection of the paper handling device is normal or not. CONSTITUTION:When an operator selects a paper feeder IC and another paper feeder ID, as for paper feeder selective information of a host device, a pit C and a pit D become logic '1'. In this state, when paper is delivered out of a paper feeder 1 actually, a sensor 3C detects the paper so that a pit c comes to logic '1' in consequence. Accordingly, the result after being AND processed comes to 'ABCD'='0010', whereby the paper feeder selection is judged as normality. When the operation selects a paper discharger 16A and another paper discharger 16B as well as when the paper has been fed to a paper discharger 16C, a sensor 15C detects the paper and the pit c is the logic '1', from which the paper discharge selection is judged as abnormality. |
