PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material excellent in printability, having high sensitivity and raw preservability and improving the stability of a developed color image by adding a specific salicylic acid derivative or a metal salt thereof to a thermal color forming layer as an electron acceptive compd. and adding p-benzylbiphenyl and one kind of an oxalic ester compd. represented by a specific formula to the thermal color forming layer as sensitizers. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material wherein a thermal color forming layer is provided on a support, the thermal color forming layer contains a salicylic acid derivative having an aryloxyalkyloxy group as a substituent and/or a metal salt thereof as an electron acceptive compd. and p-benzylbiphenyl and at least kind of an oxalic ester compd. represented by formula (wherein X<1> and X<2> may be same or different and are a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a lower alkyl group or a lower alkoxy group, Z is a single bond or an oxygen atom and n is an integer of 1-4) as sensitizers. |
