PURPOSE:To obtain an apparatus for thawing and/or cooking a food suitable for thawing frozen noodles such as wheat vermicelli or buckwheat vermicelli or a frozen food such as meat or fish. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus is equipped with a thawing and cooking tank 2 for thawing and cooking a frozen food (F), a heating means 11 for heating and controlling thawing and cooking hot water (a) in the thawing and cooking tank to a thawing warm water temperature and cooking warm water temperature below the boiling temperature corresponding to the frozen food, circulating mechanisms 12 to 14 for leading out the thawing and cooking hot water in the thawing and cooking tank to a circulating chamber 12, directly spraying the hot water on the periphery of the frozen food in the thawing and cooking tank, circulating the hot water, thawing and cooking the frozen food and controlling mechanisms 15 and 16 for the heating means and the circulating mechanisms, connectedly installing an overflow duct 6 serving also as the gas discharge around the thawing and cooking tank, further providing the thawing and cooking tank with a lid 3, dividing the interior of the thawing and cooking tank into plural tanks with a partition 9 and the heating means and circulating mechanisms individually controlled by the controlling mechanisms 15 and 16 for each divided tank part of the thawing and cooking tank and arranging a preheating hot water supply pipe 4 around the thawing and cooking tank. |
