MANUFACTURE OF MANGANESE DIOXIDE FOR LITHIUM PRIMARY BATTERY

PURPOSE:To provide a manganese dioxide manufacturing method for lithium primary batteries whose discharge voltage is improved and the storage capability of which is retained well by suppressing the decrease of specific surface area due to heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:In the case manganese dioxide is heated, the temperature raising rate is controlled to be 12.5 deg.C/minute or higher and heating is carried out at 380-430 deg.C. Manganese dioxide manufactured in this way is used for manganese dioxide for lithium primary batteries.
