摘要 The test tube, comprising a base (10) and a cylindrical wall (11), has a series of inner projections (12) which increase its inner surface area while leaving a central cylindrical space for the insertion of a pipette to introduce or extract a substance and allowing a beam of light to pass through the cylinder for measuring the optical density of the contents. The surface area of the projections is at least 1.1 and preferably at least 1.2 times the surface area of the test tube's inner wall and base, and the surface/volume ratio of the test tube is at least 7.7 cm-1. The test tube's cylinder has a minimum diameter of 2 mm, while the space between opposite projections is at least 0.4 - 0.6 mm. The test tube can have a flat, rounded or conical base, and a cylindrical wall made from a material with suitable optical properties, such as polystyrene, polymethacrylate, PVC, polyethylene terephthalate, polyethylene terephthalate-glycol or polycarbonate. USE/ADVANTAGE - Suitable for use in immunodiagnostic analysis. Allows analyses to be made in shorter time with smaller quantities of substances.
