PURPOSE:To provide an opposite communication device confirming method which has the comparatively high secrecy keeping ability by means of a simple means. CONSTITUTION:The 1st and 2nd devices which communicate with each other through a network hold the set plural reference codes and identification codes corresponding to each other. When the 2nd device requests the 1st device to start the communication, the 1st device transmits an optionally selected reference code to the 2nd device. Receiving this reference code, the 2nd device sends the corresponding identification code back to the 1st device. Then the 1st device compares the received identification code with the identification code corresponding to the reference code selected by itself to decide the propriety of communication. |
