<p>PURPOSE:To improve the reliability for the quality of an image by installing the function for selectively executing the automatic paper discharge or jam processing according to the state of a paper sheet, when the mounting/ demounting of an option paper feeding unit is generated, in a print signal waiting state after the previous paper feed. CONSTITUTION:An electronic photograph printer is equipped with a standard cassette 8, demountable option cassette 10, and an option envelope feed 14 which is demountable. When a previous paper feed instruction is outputted from a printer controller before the printing demand, paper feed is executed from a paper feeding port which is previously instructed, and after transported to the position of a prescribed transport device, e.g. of a resistance sensor, the paper sheet is stopped and waits the printing demand supplied from the printer controller. In this case, the function for detecting the fact that the option paper feed unit is demounted from the body during the previous paper feed or the printing demand waiting period after the completion of the previous paper feed is installed. Then, the automatic discharge of the paper after the previous paper feed or jam processing is executed according to the result of the detection.</p> |
