PURPOSE:To produce a rubber molding with capability of giving various designed articles cost by mixing an unvulcanized light-transmitting rubber with many fine vulcanized rubber chips made of the same material as the former and having a color tone different from that of the former to form a dispersion of the latter in the former, and vulcanizing and molding the light-transmitting rubber. CONSTITUTION:When a normally plastic rubber such as a silicone rubber is used, this rubber is mixed with a vulcanizing agent such as a peroxide and fine vulcanized rubber chips and the resulting mixture is kneaded with e.g. a mixing roll to fully disperse the vulcanizing agent and the fine chips in the rubber. The obtained mixture is packed into a mold such as a metal mold, and vulcanized and molded under applied pressure and heat. When a liquid rubber such as a liquid urethane is used, this liquid is mixed with a vulcanizing agent and fine vulcanized rubber chips to form a dispersion, which is poured into a mold and vulcanized and molded. Thus, a molding having excellent design and a high value added can be obtained. |
