Refrigerant compositions include mixtures of bis(difluoromethyl) ether and a second component wherein the second component is 1-trifluoromethoxy-1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethane, difluoromethoxy pentafluoroethane, 1-trifluoromethoxy-1,2,2,2-tetrafluoroethane, 1-trifluoromethoxy-2,2,2-trifluoroethane, tris(trifluoromethyl)amine, difluoromethyl sulfur pentafluoride, pentafluoroethyl sulfur pentafluoride, ammonia, butane or isobutane. The invention also relates to azeotropic or azeotrope-like compositions which comprise admixtures of effective amounts of bis(difluoromethyl) ether and 1-trifluoromethoxy-1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethane, difluoromethoxy pentafluoroethane, 1-trifluoromethoxy-1,2,2,2-tetrafluoroethane, 1-trifluoromethoxy-2,2,2-trifluoroethane, tris(trifluoromethyl)amine, difluoromethyl sulfur pentafluoride, pentafluoroethyl sulfur pentafluoride, ammonia, butane or isobutane. |
