PURPOSE:To easily and surely exchange a process unit expiring it life without any trouble and forgetting, in an electrophotographic recorder provided with the freely exchangeable process unit. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic recorder is provided with a sensor 50 detecting the exchange of a toner cartridge 31, counting the number for the exchange and issuing an exchange signal when the counted number for the exchange reaches prescribed times corresponding to the life of the process unit A, moreover, a control means issuing an actuating signal basing on the exchange signal from the sensor 50 and further, a regulating means 60 automatically regulating the exchange of the toner cartridge 31 basing on the actuating signal from the control means, as well. |
