PURPOSE:To provide a flexible musical performance as a singer intends by enabling special musical performance operation for a KARAOKE. CONSTITUTION:Music data on specified music to be played are read out of a hard disk device 23 and loaded in a RAM 13, and musical sound information is generated sequentially by a musical sound synthesizing device 15 according to the music data and reproduced by a speaker 18 through a mixer 17. According to drawing information that the music data contain in relation with musical performance information, image information timed to the progress of music is generated by an image generating device 19 or LD reproducing device 20 and displayed on a display device 22 by being superimposed on character image information on the text. If a skip switch 27 is operated, considering a block which is being played on the basis of a previously set block of skip operation, as a unit, then the next block is skipped, and the musical performance is carried on from the block right after the next block. |
