<p>PURPOSE: To remove nitric oxide by utilizing an easily obtainable reactant and to efficiently purify gas, as to a process for purifying gas in which nitric oxide is removed, by performing a means, e.g. of treating gas with an alkali metal compd. contg. sodium carbonate hydrate. CONSTITUTION: This invention is a process for purifying gas in which nitric oxide is removed, and, the gas is treated with an alkali metal compd. contg. sodium carbonate hydrate. At this time, in the gas, oxygen and sulfur dioxide are used. Then, the temp. of the gas is controlled to 320 to 500 K. In this way, the nitric oxide is removed by utilizing the easily obtainable reactant, and the presence of moisture and high temp. operating temp. in the gas are unnecessitated, by which the gas is efficiently purified.</p> |
